We hear everywhere now that ‘change is the new normal’, and of course it is. Most leaders we ask tell us that they believe change is actually accelerating, and new changes arrive even more the previous changes have been bedded in. As front-line leaders, you are having change done to you from above, so you are required to be a change ‘supporter’. But you also have to get buy-in for changes you want to make with your team. In this instance you are a change catalyst. Either way, leading change well is a key career success factor.
In this pod session, you discuss and explore with your fellow podsters:
The stages of the change curve and the emotions associated with each stage;
The leadership skills that help to lead others through change, and how these might be successfully applied
How to Implement a rational and emotional mindset when communicating during times of change
How to execute five steps that enhance the engagement of your individual team members when ambiguity is high;
The best way to build a plan for how you will lead your team through times of change.
If change is the new normal, then its something every leader has to master.
